Job summary

TRANSMAC and REINHARDT TRANSPORT – NIGEL, a division of REINHARDT TRANSPORT GROUP (PTY) LTD, seeks a Fleet Manager to oversee all fleet operations, driver coordination and regulatory compliance in Gauteng. Responsibilities include monitoring performance, scheduling maintenance, and generating periodic reports for management.

The role requires Matric, 2–3 years in fleet management, strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and proficient Excel use.

Responsibilities

• Fleet management: oversee all aspects of fleet operations, wages, tracking, fuel consumption, route planning and scheduling; monitor driver and vehicle performance and seek productivity improvements.
• Driver management: coordinate driver schedules, routes and assignments, ensure compliance with regulations and company policies; assign and ensure execution of tasks to drivers.
• Communication: liaise with drivers regularly, provide updates and resolve issues; track orders and deliveries.
• Compliance: ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Vehicles: coordinate vehicle maintenance, scheduling of services and COF inspections to keep fleet safe and roadworthy; arrange monthly inspections and repairs.
• Reporting: generate reports on fleet performance, efficiency, productivity and other management-required metrics.

Job Summary:

• Fleet Management: Oversee all aspects of fleet management. Monitor and manage fleet operations, wages, tracking, fuel consumption, route planning and scheduling. Constant monitoring of driver and vehicle performance and efficiency & finding ways to improve productivity.
• Driver Management: Coordinate driver schedules, routes and assignments, ensure compliance with regulations and Company policies. Assign and ensure execution of tasks to drivers.
• Communication: Liaise with drivers on a regular basis providing updates and resolving any issues. Track orders and deliveries.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with Company policies and safety standards.
• Vehicles: Coordinate vehicle maintenance to ensure the fleet is maintained, including scheduling of services and COF inspections for vehicles to remain in a safe and roadworthy condition. Monthly inspections and arrangements for services and repairs.
• Reporting: Generate reports on fleet performance, efficiency, productivity and any other reporting required by management.

Requirement:

• Matric
• Previous experience in fleet management (at least 2 – 3 years) or related field
• Knowledge of fleet management and technology i.e. tracking will be an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills as well as organisational abilities
• Sober habits
• Willing to work long hours, public holidays and weekends
• Computer literate and Excel experience (compulsory)
• Own Transport
