Paarl, Western Cape is home to a celebrated fine dining restaurant managed by Placements24. We seek an accomplished Restaurant Manager to lead all front-of-house operations, deliver flawless service, and elevate the guest experience in a luxury setting.

The ideal candidate will oversee reservations, staff training, wine and beverage management, and ensure health and safety compliance while collaborating with the Head Chef and Sommelier to maintain the restaurant’s renowned reputation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in restaurant management, preferably in fine dining or high-end establishments.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Expertise in wine and beverage management and guest service excellence.
• Proficiency with restaurant management software and POS systems.
• Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure in a fast-paced luxury setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations ensuring exceptional service standards.
• Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house staff; maintain a positive work environment.
• Manage reservations, seating flow and guest interactions from arrival to departure.
• Maintain deep knowledge of the menu, wine list and beverages; guide guest selections.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations.
• Control costs including labour, inventory and supplies within budget.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and Sommelier for a cohesive dining experience.
• Develop service standards and training programs for staff.
• Contribute to marketing initiatives and events to enhance the restaurant’s profile.
