Placements24 is seeking an accomplished Restaurant Manager for a celebrated Paarl fine dining establishment. You will oversee all front-of-house operations, supervise staff, and ensure flawless service delivery in a wine-focused dining room.

The ideal candidate brings at least four years in luxury hospitality, deep knowledge of fine dining etiquette, wine and beverage management, and a proven ability to inspire a team to deliver memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in restaurant management, preferably luxury/fine dining.
• Strong leadership and staff development abilities.
• Excellent guest service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of wine/beverage management and fine dining protocols.
• Able to manage reservations, guest flow and high-stress service periods.
• Proficient in restaurant management software and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations with a focus on exceptional service.
• Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house staff.
• Manage guest experience from arrival to departure, including inquiries and complaints.
• Oversee reservations, seating and guest flow for efficiency.
• Maintain knowledge of menu, wine list, and beverages; guide guest selections.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation compliance in dining areas and bar.
• Control labour, inventory and supplies within budget.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and Sommelier for cohesive dining.
• Develop service standards and staff training programs.
• Contribute to marketing efforts and special events to enhance the restaurant's profile.
