Job summary

MyCareerCraft is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager for a luxury dining environment in Paarl to oversee day-to-day operations across the restaurant, in-room dining and pool terrace service, working closely with the Head Chef and F&B leadership to deliver a high-quality dining experience.

The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12 and a hospitality qualification, 2–3 years in a luxury or 5-star setting, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Grade 12.
• Qualification in Hospitality or Food Service Management.
• 2-3 years experience as a Restaurant Manager in a luxury or 5-star environment.
• Wine certification or strong wine knowledge preferred.
• Previous fine dining experience would be beneficial.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with high end clientele.
• Good knowledge of food and wine.
• Able to work under pressure in a busy environment.
• Good planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the restaurant and related dining areas
• Ensure guests receive excellent service at all times
• Handle guest queries or complaints in a professional and efficient way
• Work with the Sommelier to maintain and update wine and beverage lists
• Recruit, train and manage restaurant staff, including rosters and overtime
• Oversee stock ordering, stock control and budget management
• Ensure all hygiene, safety and food service standards are followed
