Job summary

1Nebula in South Africa is seeking a dynamic Financial Controller to progress into Financial Manager and lead our financial strategy. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance while guiding teams across finance, HR, and IT support.

You will partner with senior management to shape financial strategy, drive control improvements, manage risk, and ensure strong governance as we grow internationally, including corporate reporting to the board.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) qualification is required and SA article experience is expected.
• Minimum 5 years of post-article experience in a finance role.
• Strong proficiency in financial management, including accounting, reporting and analysis.
• Exceptional Excel modelling skills; Power BI experience is a plus.
• Execution-focused with proven leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and compliance.
• Lead and mentor teams across finance, HR and IT support.
• Partner with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies.
• Ensure robust financial controls and drive continuous improvement.
• Communicate insights to board and shareholders; manage pricing reviews.
