About the Role

Our client, a diversified multinational corporation with significant operations in Pretoria, Gauteng , is seeking a highly accomplished Financial Controller to oversee its corporate finance functions. This senior leadership role is crucial for managing financial operations, ensuring robust internal controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to executive management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, treasury management, and compliance. You will be responsible for the integrity of all financial reporting, driving efficiencies across financial processes, and supporting key business decisions with accurate, timely financial insights. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the company's accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cost accounting.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive system of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
• Prepare and publish timely, accurate, and comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Oversee the treasury function, including cash management, banking relationships, and debt financing.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating closely with department heads.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
• Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Implement and manage financial systems and technology to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities.

Requirements

• Professional designation such as CA(SA), ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is mandatory.

• Proven experience in financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, and treasury.
