Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Masters and/or professional qualification essential (CA(SA)/ACCA/CPA).
• Minimum 10 years in finance with 5+ in senior controlling.
• Strong IFRS and SA tax/regulatory knowledge.
• Proven ability to lead remote teams.
• Experience with large ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting ops including AP, AR, GL, and payroll.
• Develop robust internal controls for data integrity.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual IFRS financial statements.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting with dept heads.
• Ensure compliance with financial regs and tax laws.
• Lead and mentor the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

• Prepare and present timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with departmental heads.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial stakeholders.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
• A Master's degree and/or professional qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, CPA) is essential.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior controlling or financial management role.
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS and South African accounting and tax regulations.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing internal controls and financial systems.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial operations and lead remote teams effectively.
• Proficiency in large-scale ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive results in a remote, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical skills and a proven track record of financial reporting accuracy.
