Job summary

Nedbank is recruiting a Finance Operations Manager for Procure to Pay in Johannesburg. The role leads the Procure-to-Pay support function, ensures governance and controls, and acts as the primary liaison with Group functions.

You will manage a team, drive improvements, and report on process performance. You will oversee risk, compliance, and controls while delivering actionable insights and stakeholder support across the P2P lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5 years role-relevant experience including 2-3 years experience managing others.
• Knowledge of Group Procure-to-Pay policies, processes, controls and systems.
• Experience in governance, risk, and internal controls within financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, allocate work to and develop subordinates.
• Act as the senior escalation point for Procure-to-Pay matters.
• Maintain relationships with Group Procurement, Accounts Payable, Travel, Card Services, Tax and CIB stakeholders.
• Clarify responsibilities and route queries to the correct process owner.
• Oversee adherence to P2P policies, processes, and controls.
• Identify operational, financial, compliance and reporting risks.
• Design or coordinate monitoring and controls at CIB level.
• Coordinate audit requests, remediation and evidence retention.
• Provide P2P reports on performance, spend, supplier activity, VAT and control matters.
• Highlight risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Present recommendations and action plans to management.
• Monitor team performance and overall effectiveness.
