Placements24 is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their Richards Bay operations team. You will install, maintain and repair telecommunications equipment and services for a diverse client base, traveling to customer sites and providing hands-on technical support to ensure satisfaction.

This hands-on role requires problem-solving in telecom infrastructure, strong customer service, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission telecommunications hardware, including fiber optic cabling, modems, routers, and base stations.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance and diagnostic tests on network equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in telecommunications systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Respond promptly to service outages and customer-reported issues, working efficiently to restore connectivity.

Requirements
