About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and skilled Field Service Technician (Telecoms) to join their team serving the Mahikeng, North West region. This hands-on role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure at customer sites. You will be the face of the company, providing essential on-site support and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient and effective service delivery. This position requires a strong technical aptitude and the ability to work independently in various field locations across North West .

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and service telecommunications equipment, including routers, modems, and antennas.
• Perform routine maintenance and diagnostic checks on existing network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair technical issues reported by customers, ensuring prompt resolution.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine optimal equipment placement and installation requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in Telecommunications or a related field is advantageous.
• Previous experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar technical role within the telecom industry.
• Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting common telecommunications hardware.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with good diagnostic skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively within the Mahikeng area and surrounding districts.
