Job summary

Staff Solutions Recruitment is seeking a skilled service technician to diagnose, repair and maintain refrigeration and beverage dispensing equipment at client sites across KwaZulu-Natal. You will also handle deliveries, install and collect equipment, and provide practical guidance to customers.

The role requires a Matric, a valid driver's licence, Safe Gas Handling Licence, and a proven ability to work independently or in teams while keeping accurate service reports and complying with SLAs.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) and Safe Gas Handling Licence required.
• Valid driver’s licence with good driving record.
• Technical experience in refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, or related field.
• Previous driving and equipment delivery experience.
• 12 years' experience in refrigeration or technical service advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults on refrigeration and dispensing equipment.
• Perform repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Sanitize and clean equipment per standards.
• Inspect equipment before dispatch to ensure quality.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Repairs & Maintenance

• Diagnose faults on refrigeration and dispensing equipment.
• Perform repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Sanitize and clean equipment in accordance with company standards.
• Inspect equipment before dispatch to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Complete service reports and job cards accurately.
• Ensure all work is completed within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).

Warehouse Operations

• Assist with general warehouse operations and housekeeping.
• Receive, store and prepare equipment for dispatch.
• Participate in stock counts and inventory control activities.
• Maintain accurate warehouse records and scanning processes.
• Ensure vehicle stock is accurately controlled and replenished.
• Load and unload equipment safely and efficiently.

Deliveries & Customer Service

• Deliver equipment safely and professionally to customer sites.
• Install, collect and exchange equipment where required.
• Provide basic operational guidance to customers.
• Represent the company professionally during all customer interactions.
• Ensure company vehicles are maintained in a clean and roadworthy condition.
