Job summary

Communicate Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Service Manager to lead and develop service technicians in the industrial refrigeration sector in Cape Town.

You will plan and coordinate daily service activities, oversee maintenance and repairs, and drive improvements to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The role requires strong leadership and the ability to travel locally and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• SAQCC Gas Category B8 licence is advantageous.
• Valid drivers licence is required.
• Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years experience in industrial refrigeration or rotating equipment maintenance
• 2+ years experience in a service management, supervisory, or team leadership role
• Strong technical knowledge of compressors, electrical systems, and PLC controls
• Solid experience leading field service teams and managing service operations
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with industrial refrigeration systems and compressor maintenance
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally
