Job summary

Switch Recruit is seeking a Field Sales Executive to grow revenue and market share in Durban by securing new business and managing customer relationships. You will execute field sales plans, drive retention and generate leads aligned with the commercial strategy.

Responsibilities include expanding the freight and forwarding client base, collaborating with teams, and delivering impactful presentations and proposals. A strong sales track record and logistics experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in clearing and forwarding sales (non-negotiable).
• Matric required; diploma/degree in logistics/marketing advantageous.
• Proven sales, business development or field sales track record.

Responsibilities

• Grow freight and forwarding customer base across Southern Africa.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure service delivery.
• Identify customer needs and align with products/solutions.
• Execute field sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and margins.
• Engage potential customers, conduct needs assessments and match solutions.
• Deliver sales presentations, proposals and product information.
• Monitor competitors and market trends for insights.
• Log at least 8 customer engagements per week in CRM.
