Job summary

Switch Recruit is seeking a Field Sales Executive to grow revenue and market share in Durban by securing new business and managing customer relationships. You will execute field sales plans, drive retention and generate leads aligned with the commercial strategy.

Responsibilities include expanding the freight and forwarding client base, collaborating with teams, and delivering impactful presentations and proposals. A strong sales track record and logistics experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in clearing and forwarding sales (non-negotiable).
• Matric required; diploma/degree in logistics/marketing advantageous.
• Proven sales, business development or field sales track record.

• Monitor competitors and market trends for insights.
• Log at least 8 customer engagements per week in CRM.

Duties:

• Execute field sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and target margins.
• Engage potential customers, conduct needs assessments and match them with relevant solutions.
• Deliver impactful sales presentations, proposals, and product information.
• Monitor competitors and market trends for strategic insights.
• Complete a minimum of 8 customer engagements per week and log all activity within the CRM.

Requirements:

• Matric.
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Marketing or a relevant field advantageous.
• 5-8 years experience in clearing and forwarding sales (non-negotiable).
• Proven track record in sales, business development or field sales.
• Familiarity with CargoWise1 an advantage.
• Drivers license and own reliable vehicle.
