Job summary

Switch Recruit is seeking a Field Sales Executive to drive revenue growth across Southern Africa. You will grow the freight and forwarding customer base, collaborate with internal teams, and identify customer needs to tailor solutions. A proven sales track record and a valid driver’s license with own vehicle are required.

Applicants should have 5–8 years in clearing and forwarding sales, plus a Diploma or Degree in logistics, marketing or a related field. CargoWise1 familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Matric (grade 12) is required.
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Marketing or a related field is advantageous.
• 5-8 years experience in clearing and forwarding sales (non-negotiable).
• Proven track record in sales, business development or field sales.
• Familiarity with CargoWise1 is an advantage.
• Driver's license and own reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Grow freight and forwarding customer base across Southern Africa.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Identify customer needs and align them with relevant products and solutions.
• Execute field sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and target margins.
• Engage potential customers, conduct needs assessments and match them with relevant solutions.
• Deliver impactful sales presentations, proposals, and product information.
• Monitor competitors and market trends for strategic insights.
• Complete a minimum of 8 customer engagements per week and log all activity within the CRM.
