Job summary

Brilliant Computers in the Western Cape is seeking an on-site Network Support Engineer to assist with remote troubleshooting and remediation at client sites. You will connect to network devices, perform basic verification, and arrange rack mounting and cable management according to site rules.

The role requires following approved procedures and occasional travel to customer locations. The ideal candidate has a degree or diploma in IT or network engineering, 2+ years of enterprise networking

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant IT field is preferred.
2+ years hands-on experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
Basic networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, switches, routers, and firewalls.
Experience with console connections and network device installation.
Ability to follow documented procedures and instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

Provide physical onsite assistance to enable remote troubleshooting and remediation.
Connect to network devices per instructions and perform basic checks.
Rack mounting/unmounting and patching cables per site rules.
Coordinate with Remote Support Team for post-install verification.
Travel to customer locations as required.
