Job summary

Eskort is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide onsite and remote assistance in Irene, Gauteng. Responsibilities include resolving issues across PCs, tills, POS systems, printers and handheld devices, with travel to stores for repairs and installations.

The role requires Windows support experience, macOS familiarity, and networking knowledge. Applicants should be prepared for after-hours work and multi-site assignments in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• Support users on Windows 10/11 in a mixed environment.
• Experience with macOS is required/advantageous.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routers and switches.
• A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally.
• Ability to diagnose network and Wi-Fi issues and provide onsite support.

Responsibilities

• Log, prioritise and resolve support requests on the ticketing system. Resolve problems onsite and remotely for PCs, tills and POS systems, printers, scales, barcode scanners and handhelds. Diagnose network, Wi‑Fi, router and internet faults. Create and manage user accounts and permissions. Travel to stores and sites to repair, install and configure equipment as needed. Support store openings and rollouts of new systems. Install and tidy network cabling, switches and Wi‑Fi access points.
