Job summary

Sigma Connected Group is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to uphold the safety, functionality and presentation of our Diep River facilities. You will perform preventative and reactive tasks, with emphasis on building systems, plumbing, and electrical upkeep to ensure uninterrupted operations.

You will work both independently and with teams, log activities in our ticketing system, and liaise with contractors.

Qualifications

2 - 5 years of experience in a maintenance role.
Basic understanding of hand tools and mechanical/electrical concepts.
Good communication skills and strong work ethics.
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

Responsibilities

Attend to plumbing issues, drainage repairs, floor-covering maintenance, and routine building upkeep.
Carry out basic electrical repairs and replace light bulbs where safe and appropriate.
Complete routine painting and touch-ups to maintain building presentation standards.
Perform minor carpentry work and support heating and cooling systems upkeep.
Maintain, repair, and manage lockers and security systems as required.
Monitor and report on building inspections and safety compliance.
