Job summary

SMD Technologies Pty Ltd is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Officer to manage daily building upkeep, basic plumbing and electrical work, painting and drywalling. You will support generators, solar systems and backup water operations, while assisting events setup and expo preparations.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in maintenance, hold Grade 12, and are proactive with strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on and practical maintenance experience is required.
• Experience with basic plumbing, electrical work and painting.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.

Responsibilities

• Attend day-to-day maintenance across the premises.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, painting and drywalling repairs.
• Assemble, repair and maintain office furniture and fixtures.
• Inspect premises and identify maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs.
• Operate and monitor generators and solar/backup power systems.
• Monitor water backup systems and report faults.
• Assist with set-up for events and expos.
