Job summary

Exceed Human Resource Consultants is seeking a facilities maintenance professional to perform general building upkeep, minor repairs, and routine safety inspections at our Stellenbosch premises. The role supports smooth daily operations and coordination with contractors.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in facilities or building maintenance, a Code EB driver’s licence, and good Afrikaans/English communication.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) is required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in building maintenance or facilities.
• Valid Code EB driver’s licence.
• Safety training is advantageous.
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
• Good planning, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication in Afrikaans and English.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Reliable, proactive and hands-on with a strong commitment to health, safety and maintenance standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance, cleaning, and basic repair work.
• Conduct routine inspections and report defects, damage, or safety concerns.
• Assist with the setup and movement of furniture and equipment for meetings and events.
• Coordinate and provide support to contractors during maintenance and repair work.
• Perform basic gardening and ensure the premises are well maintained.
• Inspect fire extinguishers, gas cylinders, and other safety equipment.
• Support the smooth day-to-day operation and upkeep of company facilities.
