Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Food and Beverage Supervisor for a well-regarded hotel in Nelspruit. The role focuses on supervising dining operations across outlets, delivering excellent guest service, and supporting the F&B Manager in daily operations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years in F&B supervision, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction. Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays is required in Nelspruit.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in food and beverage service or supervision.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong customer service skills and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of food & beverage operations, including menu items, service standards, and basic cost control.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, in Nelspruit.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily F&B operations, including restaurants, bars, and room service, ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness.
• Assist in managing F&B staff, including scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure all guests receive prompt and courteous service, addressing any concerns or complaints effectively.
• Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Enforce all health, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to beverage service standards and responsible alcohol service policies.
• Prepare daily reports on sales, labor, and inventory.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and timely delivery of food orders.
• Uphold the hotel's standards and reputation for quality dining experiences.
