Job summary

West Coast Personnel seeks an experienced export operations supervisor to lead the export team, ensuring daily targets are met and customer requirements are fulfilled. You will manage orders, documentation, and communications with international clients from order to shipment.

Role requires coordinating with production, stores and QA, arranging freight, and maintaining accurate pricing and records. Experience in exports and shipping docs is essential.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in exports, shipping or international logistics.
• Strong understanding of the complete export process from order to shipment.
• Experience with freight forwarders, couriers, airfreight and sea freight.
• Good knowledge of export and shipping documentation.
• Previous experience supervising or leading a small operational team.
• Strong international customer communication and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the export team, allocate work and monitor daily targets.
• Process export orders and maintain regular communication with international customers.
• Coordinate with production, stores and other departments to meet delivery deadlines.
• Arrange courier, airfreight and sea-freight shipments.
• Prepare and submit accurate export and shipping documentation.
• Obtain and negotiate freight rates with forwarders and shipping lines.
• Prepare invoices, credits, stock transfers and backflushing transactions.
• Monitor backorders and ensure orders are dispatched accurately and on time.
• Issue quotations, samples and order acknowledgements.
• Coordinate export packaging, pallets and related materials.
• Assist with stock control, stock takes and forecasting.
• Liaise with Quality Control regarding customer complaints and product-related issues.
• Maintain accurate customer pricing and product information on the system.
• Monitor departmental timesheets, attendance and leave.
