Job summary

Absa Bank Limited in South Africa seeks an experienced executive to lead the Transactional Banking sales strategy for a designated sector. You will drive revenue growth, deepen executive-level client relationships and deliver integrated solutions across cash management, payments, liquidity, trade and investor services.

The role requires a strategic, performance-driven leader with a track record of building revenue, managing risk and guiding high-performing teams in a complex banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Banking, Business or related discipline.
• Postgraduate qualification in Business, Finance or Leadership advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Transactional Banking sales strategy for the designated sector.
• Drive revenue growth, client acquisition and wallet share expansion across the sector portfolio.
• Identify opportunities to increase market penetration and strengthen the Bank's competitive position.
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic clients within the sector.
• Act as senior sponsor for key client opportunities and strategic relationships.
• Lead the origination and delivery of integrated Transactional Banking solutions across Cash Management, Payments, Liquidity, Trade and Working Capital, and Investor Services.
• Lead and develop a high-performing sector sales team, fostering accountability and commercial excellence.
• Represent the Bank within the sector through industry forums, client engagements and market initiatives.
