Job summary

Absa Bank is seeking an executive leader to grow the Natural Resources Transactional Banking franchise, shaping sector strategy, deepening client relationships and driving revenue in a complex matrixed environment.

You will lead a high-performing sector sales team, deliver integrated Cash Management, Payments, Liquidity and Trade solutions, and ensure governance and risk compliance across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years' experience within Transactional Banking, Corporate Banking, Corporate Sales or related financial services environments.
• Proven track record in managing and growing revenue across corporate client portfolios.
• Demonstrated experience leading sector-based sales teams and delivering commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Sector strategy and commercial growth: Develop and execute the Transactional Banking sales strategy for the designated sector and drive revenue growth.
• Client relationship and sales leadership: Build executive-level relationships with strategic clients and manage key opportunities.
• Integrated solution delivery: Lead origination and delivery of integrated Transactional Banking solutions across Cash Management, Payments, Liquidity, Trade and Working Capital.
• People leadership and capability development: Lead and develop a high-performing sector sales team with a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Stakeholder and sector leadership: Represent the Bank within the sector through industry forums and client engagements.
• Risk, governance and compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory and conduct requirements and maintain a strong control environment.
