Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Event Catering Sales Executive based in Benoni, Gauteng, to identify new opportunities, develop tailored proposals, and close contracts for a wide range of events. You will build strong client relationships and collaborate with operations to ensure seamless event execution.

The role requires a proven sales track record, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of proven sales experience, preferably in catering, hospitality, or event management.
Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Understanding of catering services, menu options, and event logistics.

Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in corporate, social, and private events in Benoni and surrounding areas.
Develop and deliver proposals, presentations, and quotes tailored to client needs and event specs.
Build and maintain long-lasting client relationships; understand their catering requirements.
Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
Collaborate with internal catering and operations teams for accurate event planning and seamless execution.
Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and revenue goals.
Stay informed about market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.
Gather client feedback post-event to drive service improvements and repeat business.
Represent the company at industry events and networking functions in Gauteng.
Maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
