Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Northern Cape, Postmasburg, seeks an Engine Workshop/Field Service Technician - Apprentice. You will assist workshop operations, learn repair techniques, document work, and support safety and tool care.

We require NSC matric, N6 Mechanical Eng or N2/N3 Eng studies; a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally. The role offers on-site training and exposure to Cummins systems, with local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• NSC/matric with grade 12 as matriculation.
• N6 Mechanical Engineering with 4 subjects.
• N2/N3 Engineering studies with relevant subjects.

Responsibilities

• Support workshop operations and general activities.
• Assist with documentation and time sheets.
• Learn repair techniques and follow safety procedures.
• Care for tools and maintain a clean workspace.
• Report issues to supervisor for improvements.
