Cummins Inc. in Northern Cape, South Africa (Postmasburg) is seeking an Engine Workshop/Field Service Technician - Apprentice to support workshop operations and learn to repair and maintain Cummins engines and power generators.

The role emphasizes mechanical and electrical repair basics, adherence to safety procedures, and documentation. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required are required.

Qualifications

• NSC with matric grade 12 (grade 12) as minimum.
• N6 Mechanical Engineering certificate with 4 subjects including Math/Mechanotechnics/Mechanical Drawing.
• N2/N3 Engineering studies certificate with Mathematics, Engineering Science, and related subjects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general workshop activities and maintain cleanliness and order.
• Repair and maintain mechanical/electrical products, disassemble/assemble engines or power generators, and inspect/replace parts.
• Translate customer issues into troubleshooting plans, support documentation, and ensure proper records.
