Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a qualified Social Worker for a dedicated charitable organization serving the Klerksdorp and North West community. The role focuses on direct service delivery, assessment, and connecting clients with resources in a mission-driven environment.

The candidate should have a BSW or equivalent, SACSSP registration, at least 3 years of post-qualification experience, and strong skills in counseling, case management, and advocacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree or equivalent qualification.
• Registered with the SACSSP.
• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in social work, preferably community-based.
• Experience in case management, counseling, and advocacy.
• Strong knowledge of social welfare legislation, policies, and resources in Klerksdorp and North West.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of individual and family needs.
• Develop and implement individualized service plans and interventions.
• Provide counseling and support services to clients facing challenges.
• Facilitate access to community resources, healthcare, education, and housing.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records per professional standards.
• Advocate for clients' rights within relevant systems.
• Collaborate with professionals, agencies, and stakeholders for coordinated service delivery.
• Organize and facilitate support groups and psycho-educational workshops.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development.
• Respond to crisis situations and provide immediate support.
