Placements24 seeks an experienced Social Worker specializing in Child and Family Services in Klerksdorp, North West. You will provide essential case management, psychosocial assessments, and intervention planning to support vulnerable children and families within the community.

The role requires a BSW, SACSSP registration, at least 4 years of post-qualification experience, and strong skills in assessment, counseling, and reporting. On-site work with travel within the service area is expected.

Formación

• Bachelor of Social Work degree from an accredited institution.
• Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as a Social Worker.
• A minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience in child and family social work.
• Demonstrated experience in case management, crisis intervention, and counseling.
• In-depth knowledge of South Africa child welfare legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent assessment, report writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage challenging situations.
• Strong ethics and commitment to confidentiality.
• Familiarity with social service resources in the Klerksdorp region.
• Valid driver\'s license and willingness to travel within the service area.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
• Develop and implement intervention and support plans in collaboration with clients.
• Provide counseling and therapeutic services to children and families experiencing difficulties.
• Manage a caseload of clients with ongoing follow-up and support.
• Facilitate referrals to other social services, healthcare providers, and community agencies.
• Engage in child protection investigations and interventions as required.
• Collaborate with schools, legal entities, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date case records and reports.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case consultations.
• Advocate for the rights and needs of children and families within the relevant systems.
