Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our team in Midrand, Gauteng. You will assess clients, develop intervention plans, provide counselling and advocacy, and connect people with vital community resources.

The role emphasizes collaboration with professionals and organizations to deliver comprehensive client care while upholding ethical standards. A BSW and SACSSP registration, plus experience in case management and outreach, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
• Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• Proven experience in case management, counseling, and community outreach.
• Strong understanding of social welfare legislation, policies, and ethical guidelines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in report writing and maintaining detailed client records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive social assessments to identify client needs, risks, and strengths.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in collaboration with clients and relevant stakeholders.
• Provide counseling, support, and advocacy to individuals, families, and groups facing social, emotional, or environmental difficulties.
• Facilitate referrals to community resources, healthcare services, and other support networks.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case records, documenting all interactions, assessments, and interventions.
• Collaborate with other professionals, agencies, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive client care and service delivery.
