Job summary

Placements24 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, seeks a Senior HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support across the organization, focusing on employee relations, policy implementation, and HR operations from our Durban facility.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years' experience, deep knowledge of SA labour law (BCEA, LRA, EEA), strong communication skills, and hands-on involvement in recruitment, performance management, and CCMA matters. This on-site role offers stability and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years' experience as an HR Generalist with emphasis on employee relations and HR operations.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour law (BCEA, LRA, EEA) and related legislation.
• Experience with HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
• Proven ability to handle disciplinary hearings, grievances, and CCMA disputes.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.
• Administer HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
• Support recruitment and onboarding for various roles.
• Oversee the performance management cycle, including reviews and development planning.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs with accuracy.
• Maintain employee records and HRIS with data integrity and confidentiality.
• Develop and deliver HR training programs on compliance and conduct.
• Assist with workforce planning and talent development initiatives.
• Act as a first point of contact for HR inquiries and support.
