Placements24 seeks an Electrical Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support for electrical equipment across client locations, based in Soweto. You will diagnose issues, install and maintain systems, and ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering (National Diploma or BEng) with 4+ years in field service or related roles, can read schematics, use diagnostic tools, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support roles.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and using diagnostic tools.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours as required.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment.
Perform installations, commissioning, and routine maintenance services for clients.
Conduct customer training on the operation and maintenance of electrical systems.
Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults in diverse operational environments.
Prepare detailed service reports, including findings, actions taken, and recommendations.
Collaborate with internal engineering and sales teams to address customer needs.
