Placements24 is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support clients in and around Soweto. You will perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of complex equipment, troubleshoot, and provide practical solutions to keep operations running smoothly.
The role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and software troubleshooting skills, a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related experience, and willingness to travel within the Gauteng region.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and software troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer-focused attitude.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of specialized equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, providing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance checks to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
- Provide technical guidance and training to customer personnel on equipment operation.
- Maintain detailed service records, including work performed, parts used, and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with the engineering and support teams to address challenging technical problems.
