Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead E-commerce Platform Manager in Cape Town, Western Cape. This on-site role requires steering strategy, development, and performance of our client’s primary online store to optimize user journey and revenue.

You will lead a diverse team, drive UX/UI enhancements, and manage integrations. A strong background in large-scale commerce platforms and analytics is essential, with relocation flexibility to CAPE Town.

Qualifications

7+ years in e-commerce management with leadership experience.
Proven experience managing large-scale e-commerce platforms (Shopify Plus, Magento, SFCC).
Strong web analytics and CRO expertise.
Excellent project management and stakeholder collaboration.
Based in or willing to relocate to Cape Town, Western Cape.
MBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the company's e-commerce platform.
Lead a team of e-commerce specialists with guidance and performance management.
Drive UX/UI improvements to maximize conversion.
Manage platform integrations with payment gateways, shipping, and marketing tools.
Develop and execute A/B testing to optimize performance.
Monitor metrics: conversion rate, AOV, CAC, and CLV.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and IT to align platform activities.
Stay updated on e-commerce tech trends and best practices.
Ensure security, reliability, and regulatory compliance of the platform.
Manage the e-commerce platform budget and resources.
