Job summary

Placements24 in Gauteng seeks an experienced E-commerce Platform Manager to oversee the online store, ensure stability, performance, and scalability. You will coordinate with IT, marketing, and customer service to drive sales and improve the customer journey from browse to purchase.

Responsibilities include catalog management, A/B testing, data analysis, SEO/SEM strategy, and vendor relations, with opportunities to implement new features and optimize conversions for a growing customer base.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an E-commerce Manager or similar role.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and CMS.
• Strong web analytics skills (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar).
• Understanding of SEO, SEM, and digital marketing for e-commerce.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and performance of the e-commerce platform.
• Manage product catalog: upload products, update descriptions, pricing, imagery.
• Implement and manage A/B testing to optimize conversions.
• Analyze website traffic, sales data, and customer behavior with analytics tools.
• Collaborate with marketing to execute online campaigns and product launches.
• Work with IT to troubleshoot issues and manage integrations.
• Ensure platform security and data privacy compliance.
• Develop merchandising strategies to maximize sales and engagement.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors and technology providers.
• Stay updated on e-commerce best practices and industry trends.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance the customer journey.
