Placements24 seeks a highly analytical Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing operations at our Durban facility. You will analyze current production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to boost productivity and product quality.

Working with production teams, quality control, and management, you will deploy data-driven solutions, monitor KPIs, and ensure lean practices drive cost savings and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of process simulation software and statistical process control (SPC).
• Proven ability to optimize complex manufacturing workflows and implement lean manufacturing techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for process improvement.
• Design, develop, and implement new or modified manufacturing processes to increase productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and technical specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies and pilot tests for proposed process changes before full-scale implementation.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support to the manufacturing team.
• Monitor KPIs related to production output, quality, and resource utilization.
