Job summary

Placements24 seeks an Industrial Engineer to join the Stellenbosch manufacturing team. You will analyze processes, optimize layouts, and develop SOPs to raise throughput and quality while reducing waste on the factory floor.

In this hands-on role, you’ll drive continuous improvement with Lean methods, perform time studies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective solutions and maintain safety standards. Hybrid opportunities may apply to specific projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
• Proficiency in CAD software for layout design and process flow visualization.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively on the factory floor and collaborate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Design and optimize production layouts and workflows to maximize throughput and minimize waste.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production activities.
• Collaborate with production staff and management to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct time studies and ergonomic assessments to improve workforce productivity and safety.
• Monitor production metrics and report on key performance indicators to management.
