Job summary

Phetogo is seeking a detail-oriented data entry clerk to prepare, index and manage documents in a secure filing environment. You will capture data, assign metadata and perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with SOPs.

The role requires a diploma, basic computer skills, and willingness to work shifts, overtime and weekends if needed. Prior experience in a computer-based environment is a plus.

Qualifications

• South African citizenship required.
• Aged 18–35 years.
• Diploma is the minimum; a degree is advantageous.
• No criminal record and a clear credit history.
• Physically able to move document boxes where required.
• Basic understanding of document handling and records management.
• Ability to type efficiently without looking at the keyboard.
• Experience working in a computer-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and prepare documents for indexing.
• Assign metadata (e.g., name, date, document type and content).
• Capture and extract data accurately.
• Conduct quality checks on indexed data.
• Store and retrieve data securely in line with company policies.
• Perform ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
