Job summary

Alliance Foods SA (Pty) Ltd in the Sedgefield area seeks an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the Operations Department. Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, the successful candidate will be part of a development programme aimed at preparing for future ARM positions within the business.

Key responsibilities include upholding CHAMPS standards, shifting and forecasting labour, staff training, and supporting safety and procedure adherence to drive service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RGM in achieving CHAMPS standards by ensuring employees focus on customer satisfaction, cleanliness, hospitality, accuracy, maintenance, product and speed of service.
• Learn to manage shifts per company policies, directing activities to maximise sales, efficiency and profitability.
• Understand labour allocation on shifts, monitoring performance accordingly.
• Ensure maintenance procedures are followed according to the roster and report repairs as needed.
• Learn forecasting and scheduling to control labour costs and deploy staff using tools like Macromatix.
• Support RGM to protect safety, security of people and property, and company funds/resources.
• Report to RGM any employee relations, customer service or health issues affecting operations.
• Assist RGM to implement training programmes and help staff realise their potential.
• Support and model the How We Win Together principles with Heart, Smart and Courage.
