The role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in event management software, and a hands-on approach to budgeting, timelines, and health and safety standards. A hospitality or event management qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Event Coordinator or similar role, preferably with a focus on catering or culinary events.
• Strong understanding of food and beverage, menu planning, and event logistics.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent events.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of culinary events, from initial client brief to final service execution.
• Liaise directly with clients to understand their event requirements, preferences, and budget.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop bespoke menus and ensure ingredient quality.
• Manage event timelines, ensuring all preparations and logistics are completed on schedule.
• Oversee on-site event setup, service, and breakdown, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating for the best quality and prices.
• Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to during events.
• Manage event budgets effectively, tracking expenses and optimizing profitability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during events with professionalism and efficiency.
• Gather client feedback post-event to identify areas for continuous improvement.
