Salt Employee Benefits is seeking a Contributions Manager in Gauteng to oversee the contributions department, ensuring accurate monthly cycles, data maintenance, and timely client enquiries. The role requires strong governance, policy implementation, and liaison with employers and external service providers.

You'll lead a team, set performance expectations, and compile management reports while upholding pension fund compliance and service standards. Everest experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in employee benefits/retirement fund administration, handling contributions and employer/external providers.
• Expertise with pension fund legislation and regulations.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel; strong numerical skills.
• Strong communication, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Commitment to protecting company interests and goodwill.

Responsibilities

• Meet production standards in terms of quantity and quality.
• Liaise with employers and service providers in writing and verbally.
• Ensure professional email communications within SLA.
• Coordinate and monitor contributions cycles, data maintenance and client inquiries.
• Ensure fund compliance with rules, policies and legislation.
• Identify, develop and implement policies for the contributions department.
• Follow up on audit findings and recommendations.
• Compile job descriptions for all levels in the department.
• Set performance areas and manage staff performance.
• Prepare accurate reports for management in required formats.
• Support client enquiries resolution and escalate within 24–72 hours.
• Monitor escalations and complaints; recommend preventative measures.
• Train, mentor and coach staff.
• Assign tasks and lead the team.
