Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a creative and organized Recreation Program Coordinator to develop and manage a diverse range of recreational activities and events in Queenstown. You will conceptualize new programs, coordinate logs, manage budgets, and ensure participant satisfaction across age groups and interests.

This role requires strong planning, communication, and interpersonal skills to connect with participants, volunteers, and community partners, and to promote active lifestyles through

Qualifications

• Experience in program coordination, event planning, or recreation/leisure services.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public relations skills.
• Experience in budget management and financial oversight.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Degree or certification in Recreation Management or Leisure Studies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement a variety of recreational programs and events.
• Coordinate scheduling, venue booking, and resource allocation.
• Develop and manage program budgets for cost-effectiveness.
• Recruit, train, and manage staff and volunteers.
• Market programs to the community and manage participant registration.
• Evaluate program success and gather feedback for improvement.
