Placements24 is seeking an energetic Recreation Program Assistant in Queenstown to support diverse activities across sports, arts, and community programs for all ages. You will work under program coordinators to help plan, organize, and run events while creating a positive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework is a plus.
Previous experience working with children or in recreational settings desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, setup, and execution of recreational programs and events.
Provide direct support to participants during activities, ensuring safety and engagement.
Help manage program equipment and supplies.
Communicate program information to participants and parents; answer queries.
Support coordinators with administrative tasks, registration, and record-keeping.
Collaborate to maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all participants.
Adhere to safety policies and procedures to promote a secure environment.
