Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Recreation Program Manager to lead development and delivery of engaging community recreational programs in Richards Bay. You will conceptualize, plan, and deliver activities across ages, manage staff, budgets, and safety policies while boosting participation.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in program development and leadership within leisure/sports, with certifications in First Aid and CPR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Sports Science, Community Development, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in program planning and management within a recreational or community setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in budget management and staff supervision.
• Certifications in First Aid and CPR are required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement a schedule of recreational programs and activities for the community.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise program facilitators, volunteers, and support staff.
• Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies to promote program participation.
• Ensure programs comply with safety regulations and organizational policies.
