Job summary

Premier FMCG is seeking an accounting-focused clerk to relieve cashiers and support creditors/debtors processes within a busy operation. The role covers reconciliation tasks, stock ordering, banking, and month-end processes, with exposure to value chain activities.

Applicants should have Matric and an accounting qualification is advantageous. The position involves six-day work weeks and shift work, with potential for growth within the finance team.

Job Purpose

Assist and fulfil the role and responsibilities of relieving the Cashiers, Reconciling, Creditors Clerk, Value Chain, Debtors clerk and POD Clerk

• POD's/Claims
• Drivers reconciled, and accounts are balanced daily
• Drivers debriefed

Experience and Qualifications

To perform effectively in this role, the following minimum qualifications and work experience are required:

• Matric
• Certificate or diploma in accounting an advantage

Skills and Competencies

• Able to work in a high performance, results oriented environment
• Extra work hours required at month end, financial year-end and at management discretion and over weekends.
• Successful candidate must be able to step into other roles e.g. if someone is off sick or absent from work
• Pressurized environment
