Placements24 is partnering with a rapidly expanding regional airline to appoint a Chief Pilot in Pretoria. This executive role oversees safety, training, scheduling, and regulatory compliance for all flight operations.

The Chief Pilot leads pilot recruitment, performance, and manuals, while managing budgets and liaising with regulators to ensure top standards in a dynamic aviation environment.

Qualificações

• ATPL license with substantial command experience on relevant aircraft.
• Deep knowledge of SACAA/ICAO regulations and safety standards.
• Proven ability to lead large flight operations teams and audits.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure flight operations comply with aviation regulations and policies.
• Lead recruitment, training, and performance assessment of pilots.
• Develop and manage the pilot duty roster and ensure rest requirements.
• Maintain high standards for crew discipline and operational effectiveness.
• Oversee FOM and SOPs, keeping them current and implemented.
• Represent the company with regulators and authorities.
• Lead investigations into incidents and drive corrective actions.
• Contribute to fleet strategy, route planning, and efficiency.
• Foster safety culture and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage the flight department budget.
