Placements24 is seeking a Chief Mine Surveyor to oversee all surveying operations for mining activities near Klerksdorp. You will manage underground and open-pit surveys, ensure data accuracy, and support mine planning with precise volumetric calculations.

The ideal candidate will have a PLS qualification, 10+ years in mine surveying with at least 3 years in leadership, and proficiency in 3D laser scanning, total stations, GIS, and related mine software.

Qualifications

• PLS qualification or equivalent recognized accreditation.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mine surveying, with ≥3 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Extensive experience with 3D laser scanning, total station technology, and GIS applications within a mining context.
• Proficiency in mine planning and surveying software (AutoCAD, Deswik, Vulcan).
• Strong understanding of geological and engineering principles related to mine surveying.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
