Placements24 is seeking a precise Mine Surveyor to join our operations in Centurion. The role is crucial for providing accurate spatial data and maintaining mine models across underground development and surface infrastructure.

You will set out designs, monitor mine workings, and deliver reliable survey data to planners and engineers, ensuring compliance with South African mining regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mine Surveying or a related surveying field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Mine Surveyor, preferably underground/open-pit.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Surpac or similar mining survey software.
• Experience with modern survey instruments and data processing techniques.
• Knowledge of South African mining legislation and survey standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveys for surface and underground mining operations, including setting out, grid control, and stockpile volume calculations.
• Operate and maintain survey equipment, including total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
• Process survey data to create and update mine plans and models.
• Monitor and report on the geometric compliance of mine development and extraction activities.
• Collaborate with mine engineers and geologists to ensure accurate geological and structural data integration.
• Ensure all survey activities comply with relevant mining regulations and safety standards.

About the Role
