Job summary

You will work with total stations, GPS/GNSS, and laser scanners to develop mine plans and digital models, contributing to a comprehensive mine digital twin while upholding strict data quality in a dynamic mining environment.

Qualifications

  • National Diploma or Degree in Surveying or Mine Surveying.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Mine Surveyor, underground mining preferred.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Vulcan, Surpac, Carlson.
  • Experience with 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of geodetic principles and coordinate systems relevant to mining.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct precise surveys of underground and surface mine workings, including development, stopes, and infrastructure.
  • Utilize advanced surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS, and laser scanners.

You will be responsible for mapping underground and surface workings, ensuring precise control for drilling and blasting, and contributing to the development of a comprehensive digital twin of the mine. This position requires a meticulous approach to data acquisition and management in a dynamic mining environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct precise surveys of underground and surface mine workings, including development, stopes, and infrastructure.
  • Utilize advanced surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS, and laser scanners.
