Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Catering Event Manager to oversee planning and execution of diverse catering events in Upington and the Northern Cape. The role combines remote coordination with on-site supervision and client meetings.

You will manage menu planning, liaise with clients and staff, control budgets, and ensure health and safety standards, delivering exceptional client experiences across evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in event management or hospitality with client focus.
• Proven ability to plan and execute catering events end-to-end.
• Strong organizational, time management and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and staff.
• Familiarity with event planning tools and MS Office.

About the Role Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Catering Event Manager to oversee the planning and execution of diverse catering events in the Upington, Northern Cape region. This crucial role involves working closely with clients from initial consultation through to event completion, ensuring all catering aspects are managed flawlessly. You will be responsible for menu planning, coordinating with chefs and service staff, managing budgets, and ensuring client satisfaction. This hybrid role combines remote administrative duties and client communication with essential on-site presence for event supervision and client meetings within Upington and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for hospitality, excellent organizational skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end planning and execution of catering events.
